Antidumping and Countervailing 2015 Plans
In Fiscal Year, 2015, the Department of Homeland Security plans to appropriate resources aimed at improving U.S Customs and Border Protection’s enforcement of antidumping and countervailing duty orders (AD/CV).
According to the report, the bill directs CBP to take the following actions to improve AD/CV duty collections:
- dedicate $3 million to develop an automated system for single transaction bonds
- review COAC membership with chance to add domestic industries
- identify opportunities for improvement on timeliness, accuracy, and clarity of liquidation instructions sent to CBP
- report to Congress on collection of outstanding AD/CV duties
