Damaged DNA creates and grows cancer.  Scientists still don’t know why or how DNA  gets damaged. Certainly they can do an early detection with your help and lower your risk of developing worst case scenarios. This month at Scarbrough we want to encourage you to check yourself. People with a cancer connection are not the only ones at risk. In fact, this past year, National Breast Cancer Foundation found out that 60%-70% of patients didn’t have a breast cancer connection before.

Frequent consumption of alcohol, overweight or obese, poor diet and lack of physical activity are lifestyle risks that could contribute to breast cancer. But no one knows the exact reason why breast cancer develops and most women cannot point out the exact cause in their life.
