France Pilots on Strike

VC pilots’ strike on 30 September – Freighters will operate as scheduled.

The pilots’ union Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) has announced strike actions at Lufthansa Passenger Airlines for Tuesday, 30 September.

The walkout will hit long-haul flights out of Frankfurt between 8.00 and 23.00 hours local time (8 am to 11 pm). All Lufthansa Cargo freighter flights as well as all short- and medium-haul passenger flights and long-haul flights from Dusseldorf and Munich will operate as scheduled. None of the flights operated by Austrian Airlines will be affected, either.

Lufthansa Passenger Airlines has published an updated flight schedule on www.LH.com. Despite the strike announcement more than 50 per cent of the scheduled long-haul flights from Frankfurt will be operated. In addition Lufthansa Cargo will fly an extra section FRA – JFK – FRA with a freighter to compensate flight cancellations of Lufthansa Passenger Airlines to North America.
