Some VERY LARGE Cases.
- Cases ranging from 10 to 14 tons per case.
- Cases ranging from 70 to 98 CBM per case.
- Cases contain a volume of 340 cubic meters in total.
- Cases too big to fit into a container.
- Cases holding laminating machinery.
- Cases to be delivered within a small time frame.
Together Scarbrough and Alfons are able to arrange the freight from the German origin to its USA destination in Michigan. The arrangement of the freight is tricky. These cases were in addition to five 40-foot-containers. These pieces were shipped into the East Coast Port, then trucked with special equipment and permits from each state they passed through since Maryland. It takes precise coordination and close relationships with service providers to synchronize a shipment like this one. For example, the German shipper has its own construction team on site!
The shipment is closely monitored and inspected on both ends. Alfons Koester takes care of the export documentation & compliance, clearance and onboarding, while Scarbrough takes care of the import documentation, clearance, and delivery. The shipper and importer in this case are both communicated to on a daily basis, while our teams supervise the complete movement of the freight.
