What is ACE?

ACE is the Automated Commercial Environment. It is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection technology for a single window and paperless approach through which the trade community reports import and export activity and the determines admissibility. In other words, ACE allows all U.S. Customs entries, PGA data (i.e. FDA, USDA, EPA, etc.) and EEI (AES) data to be submitted via one platform. U.S. Customs just recently switched software platforms from ACS to ACE in 2016.

Benefits of ACE Reports

ACE Reports boost Supply Chain Optimization and Visibility

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is continuing to retire old Automated Commercial Environment reports and launch new ones, providing a wealth of information that importers can use to boost compliance and duty savings efforts.  In fact, if you don’t already have an ACE account, we highly encourage you to get one.  The best part?  It’s free!  Our team of ACE experts can help teach you how to run reports or you can attend one of the virtual hours listed above.  If you don’t already have an account, click here to get started.  HINT:  Open all ACE-related webpages in Internet Explorer.

How will ACE Reporting help me?

The international trade community has been seeing a huge increase in formal requests for information from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, as well as CBP regulatory audits, especially anything having to do with Free Trade Agreements.  With the many tariff announcements recently, it is even more imperative that importers have a watchful eye on their goods in order to comply with U.S. law.  ACE reporting or other reporting options can help provide the visibility importers have been missing in the past.
